This is Captain Rick Mager on “Flats Fever” here in Key West, Florida. This time of year cold fronts seem to vanish. Winds turn out of the south east and fishing in the Keys turns on!

Spring fishing provides anglers with some of the very best fishing in the Keys. March through June is prime time on the flats. Big Tarpon move in, as well as Permit and Bone Fish. Other species of fish, such as big Jacks, up to 25 lb Trout, Cobia, Cuda, and even Blue Fish provide some great action.
